LongShot ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the information collected by the LongShot Chrome extension (the "Extension").

We do not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data from users of the Extension.

• No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
• No Browsing History: We do not track, collect, or store your browsing history or the URLs of the pages you visit.
• No Page Content: We do not transmit the content of the webpages you capture to any external servers.

2. How Data is Processed

All processing performed by LongShot happens entirely locally on your device:

• Screenshot Generation: When you initiate a capture, the Extension accesses the current tab's content solely to scroll through the page and capture the visual data (pixels). This data is processed in your browser's memory to stitch the images together.
• Storage: The captured image data is temporarily stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) for the sole purpose of displaying the preview in the result page. This data remains on your machine and is cleared or overwritten as needed by the browser or when you capture a new image.

3. Permissions

The Extension requests the minimum permissions necessary to function:

• activeTab: To access the currently active tab when you click the extension icon, allowing us to capture the screenshot.
• scripting: To inject the necessary code into the page to perform auto-scrolling and element hiding (e.g., sticky headers).
• storage: To save the captured image data locally so you can view, edit, and download it.
• tabs: To open a new tab for displaying the final screenshot result.
• Host Permissions (): Required to inject the content script into any web page you wish to capture. This permission is used strictly for the functionality of taking screenshots.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or advertising networks within the Extension.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
